HOW TO PREVENT AN ACCIDENT? TIGHTEN YOUR WHEELS!
Today's tip is going to cover why you should check your lug nuts and how to torque them down properly.
Since cars are almost all using alloy wheels, it is critical to check that they're on there well. Steel wheels, like most spares, don't tend to loosen up. However, alloys are a different story. Since the material is soft, it tends to compress, and from constant heat cycles they may become loose.
This video will show you the proper procedure and explain what can happen if you over torque the lug nuts.
So make it a habit to check your wheels monthly, especially during cold weather.
Here's a site that will give you the right torque value for your car: www.discounttire.com/infoCenter/infoWheelTorque.html
As I stated before, if you're not sure what the value is, just use 80 ft-lbs.

Amazing how much money you can save doing your own work.
No backflushing?
Great video 👌
Thank for sharing. You are the best
I did this and mine is still leaking, maybe my flaring was not perfect, i did it twice but still leaking. Is there a way to seal it, i cant find any seals that small
It usually leaks when you do the second stage of the flare. If you squish the flare too far, it won’t have any room to deform and seal on the mating part inside the fitting. Try it again. You should use any type of sealant with this type of connection
Very precise explanation and a very helpful video. Thank you very much.
Brilliant!!! Cheers from the Mississippi Delta
That's a great video dude but to late just finished doing my brake lines on my 2006 focus still a great video dude
Great video thi is how i repair brake lines however always use a brake line spanner else you will damage the brass fitting you wont get it tight enough 😀
Line wrenches are a great investment!
The dirt is Ethanol...which collects water when the injector is not in use. You can clearly see the varnish in the cup. Ethanol will also shrink O rings. Injector burst spray. What this video does not show you is that there is "air" also involved which atomizes the fuel more. A clogged injector will push out fuel like a squirt gun - this is bad. Should be more of a 2 or 3 part spray.
I've watched a lot of videos on this subject and yours was the best. Nicely filmed, stayed on topic and clearly explained what to do.
A person should use brake fluid to lubricate the die and the line. because other lubricants are often not compatible with brake fluid. and can contaminate the fluid in the system. and a person shouldn't ever use compression fittings.
I wish I knew about the couplers before I changed entire brake lines front to back in one piece
Very helpful and good explanation
Nice video, would a junkyard one with good condition do the work too?
Very informative tutorial. Easy to follow and there's no need for special tools. The only question I have is: would the 9V battery sufficient enough to energize the solenoid? I don't want to use 12V as it might burn the coil. Thank you.
For those of you who are looking for how to clean fuel injectors then look no further. This video is it right here!
greetings, good work. I have a marine engine. A lot of gasoline is coming to the injectors, but I think it is not going to the spark plugs, because they are dry. Also, when I press the starter, it throws oily gasoline from the exhaust. The injectors were tested and found to be sound. What do you think could be the reason? I wish you a good day.

Hello my friend. What is the name red oil. And why... From Turkey.
The red oil is automatic transmission fluid. It’s a light weight oil that I use in case the injectors go into storage. This way it keeps moisture out of the internals. Once installed, the fuel will clear out all the oil. You don’t need to use the oil if the injectors you are cleaning are installed back onto your engine.
@@superspeakers22 Thanks for the answer. I have a question. How can we tell which one is working more solidly from the spray sound when we give energy to the injector from outside? Some injectors have a slightly different sound, but which one is the right sound? have a nice day..
Exellent😊
awesome! My brake line went on me tonight less than a week before a major trip. Funny enough, I just had to replace the ABS module a few months ago and I assumed at first that it was the module that went bad again, until I saw a trail of brake fluid in the parking space I backed out of. I probably should just replace all the brake lines, but this is the length of job that will keep me going until then.
I really appreciate your thorough explanation of every detail involved. Particularly the information about the different type of fitting at the end, because in relation to my situation it let me know whether or not I can use the compression fitting on the job I'm doing. I'm fixing a leak in my fuel line and I wasn’t sure about the fitting that was supplied with my repair kit. I'm pretty sure it'll be ok since it's not under as high of pressure as a break line is. Anyway, thank you for your helpful video.
6:49 i think it should be greas with ceramic because its corroded and can not be repair at next time.
5:40 some material crack i think its need be hot or warm.
thank you
It worked!!!!
If this doesnt fix what i got going on with this old gm, im fixing to send this asphalt puppy to Jesus.
thanks very much for the info.
Great video , now i understand the double flare. Thanks!
This is simple enough without any high-pressured DIY tool. Also use 12 to 20 fluid ounces (1 ounce per gallon of gas) per tank of gas fill-up of Chevron Techron fuel system cleaning additive. That should also clean things up a bit, if you don't want to take out the injectors. But manually cleaning is best.
thank you
How about just replacing the whole line with new? Nothing to chase, or worry about!
Many times the whole line can snake to many areas that you can not get to or you might have to drop down the gas tank.
Très bien !
how does 1 fix a brake line, in a Tesla where 1 has to remove the whole high voltage battery to run the brake line.
Really is an excellent straight to the point tutorial.Anyone can do this with a little patience. And yes compression fittings are a BIG no-no....but if you have to,they will work temporarily in a pinch. And I mean temporary....be ready to pull the e brake when braking if you have a compression fitting being used temporary to get you home..
Yes...BUT....on the side of the road in winter...man...ya know?...And most do not have the flaring kit....Ya know?...SO...that compression fitting will get you home no problem so you can fix it right..I have pinched it off with a pair of vise grips and drove home...so yeah, you do what you gotta do.
XCLNT PRESENTATION Thank you ! 👍🏻 🤜🤛!!!
what is the tool call?
Very good video, thanks.
Why the automotive industry does not offer an inverted double flare coupling is beyond me. You know that many a mechanic has been faces with a broken brake line. I do not see why a bite-type compression coupling made specifically for steel line would be unsafe. I am a designer who has done industrial piping and specify compression fillings made by Park-Hannifin and Swagelok for steel tubing applications. Many years ago, I was faced with repairing a broken brake line and ended up having to make up an entire line that took many twists and turns. It was stressful because if I messed up the double flare on either end, the entire line was scrap and I had to start all over again. So I practiced making double flares on scrap until I got it down to a science.
Good Stuff !
I needs to know how to do ford fusion 2015
Since brake fluid can be contaminated easily, I use brake fluid to lube the pipe.
05:31-nél miért kell a második lépés?
In many states, it is illegal to use brass fittings to repair brake lines. Steel fittings only.
Glad to see someone using the proper procedure for brake lines . I've had many arguments with people that have no idea what their doing using single flare, especially with aluminum lines used on small aircraft
Thank you for explaining steps by steps on how to do a brake lines union ,And recommended a unio instead a compression fitting for high psi on the lines
1:39 I did that tothe injectors on my 2007 honda pilot and it tore the top of the filter off and left the filter inside, every time, no matter how delicate I was.
you posted a good injector cleaning video. for sure removing and replacing the fuel filter sceens/baskets must be done.
